The Last Birthday Gift To The Stranger

Image
Fiction The Last Birthday Gift To The Stranger Merry Christmas and Happy birthday, stranger Photo by Kira auf der Heide on  Unsplash Aakriti is only a stranger to Raj. He first saw her at Nepal literature festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. It wasn’t a proper meet because he hadn’t noticed her then. When the festival organizer posted his favorite poem on their Facebook page, he watched the video and read all comments. One comment was, “Watching it for the ninth time. I loved it so, so much.” The girl who commented was Aakriti. He had seen her during the festival but they with no any physical or verbal interaction. Raj is an occasional writer, and whenever he imagined any stories, even if most of them had gone unwritten, he named his better-half, an imaginary character “Aakriti.” Those stories were often incomplete, they faded, but Aakriti continued to be his Juliet in his mind. He had found no such girl in real-life. Thus, he was so restless to meet his character that he would mistake them

Why Is Social Networking Allowing Fake Profiles to Exploit Pictures of Innocent Girls

We should stop this [This article was first posted on Medium ] Photo by Kon Karampelas on  Unsplash A few days back, BoisLockerRoom memes outraged metro cities of India. BoisLockerRoom was a private Instagram group that comprises young boys from Delhi, the capital city of India. They were found sharing images of teenage girls with harsh and sexual comments. Class 11 and 12 students casually discussed “gang-raping” girls, sexualized, and slut-shamed them in screenshots of chats. Those messages have gone viral on Twitter and other social media forums. As per the latest update, a class 12 student, a group admin of BoisLockerRoom, was arrested from Noida, India. Similar incidents were found in Nepal where young boys had used Reddit thread as their platform. Nepal Police are investigating this case, but no arrest has been reported until today. It is very difficult to track private messages that are being circulated in messages and groups. But there are many other problems in which social n

Dead Roses and Dead Soul

Image
Dead Roses and Dead Soul No one saw his major loss Every morning  walking up to miles he collects roses with the hope he can give them to her one day Every afternoon forgetting disappointments he collects hope with the dream  she will be with him one day Even by the end of the day, those fading roses on his desk and depressed soul within him, both continue to live with a desire of reconciliation someday Times changed but she didn’t. His soul continues to breathe he sprays water to roses hoping neither of them dies hoping they both live for one more day where they can hope for one more. She never came back she decided she won’t. Roses withered and died his soul grieved and died. He buried roses and his soul with no hope of a further journey with no desire for tomorrow. All saw dead roses being sorry for its loss but the dead soul within him no one cared to search and remained invisible forever. Suraj Ghimire  2020 This poem was first posted on

No criminal Charge Against  Government  Officials Exposed in The  Rautat Bomb blast. What does it mean to Nation? This is with a reference to the news bulletin published in Naya Patrika on 5th November 2019. Here is its image. While the judiciary hearing is yet to start for Mr. Mohammad Aftab Alam, it's quick to judge if there will be any charges to policemen, lawyers or Mr. Krishna Sitaula himself, immediate home minister in the cabinet of Late Girija Prasad Koirala. The public might take lightly an absence of charges I am personally not aware of any such incident in history where any government personal has been charged with misusing their power. However, in today’s reality, this is a point of concern for good governance. This is a concern for future Is there a need for a charge against government personals exposed to this case? Are they innocent? The horrible bomb blast and burning those victims alive in a nearby brickyard. Even though Mohammad Aftab Al

Will Grammarly improve your English Grammar?   Grammar through Grammarly:- A review Needed tool but... This is not a promo article of Grammarly. I have tried to pen it honestly as a review. Photo by Ben Mullins on Unsplash My Blogs and My Grammar:- My mother tongue is Nepali, yet it would be no wrong to say that English is my first language. Since my primary level schooling, I have studied in English medium. This gave me much needed confidence in my speaking and writing. Yet there were flaws in my English writing which remain unaddressed as I didn't bother to care about them. One of the reasons was I needed no advanced grammar, and extensive vocabulary as Language was not an obligation in the courses I have been studying. I started blogging in 2008. First in blogger and then mouthshut.com .  I never realized about the mistakes I had made, unti
