Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —   Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —   Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.” —  Martin Niemöller We can classify roast videos into various genres. Roast and stand-up comedy targeted to politics, culture, and social degradation not only reflect our society but throws light into darkness. They are humorous; they are entertaining and an eye-opener. Sadly, all roast videos are not good for society. People target videos to a specific gender (sexual orientation), race, ethnic or community and throw personalized comments to view other communities. This

Youtube Roasts and Prank Videos Are Not Funny

The Dark Side of Roast Videos That YouTube Doesn’t Want To Show You Will YouTube act against viral videos targeted at children, the LGBTQ community, and women? Photo by Christian Wiediger on  Unsplash Sachin Pariyar, a nine-year kid from a rural part of Nepal, comes from a financially backward community. He had to drop school in the second standard because his parents couldn’t afford education. Even at the early stage of life, this kid has a sense of humor, and he sings beautifully. He is funny, and he is entertaining. A YouTube Channel that noticed Sachin gave him coverage and financial support to his family. This followed wide national coverage, and Sachin got viral in no time. Not only YouTubers, but national television also promoted him. YouTuber supported his family to start a new micro-business. Looking at his talent, a nonprofit organization in Kathmandu took his wardenship and enrolled him in a boarding school, where he restarted his education. The platform of YouTube is both

We should stop this [This article was first posted on Medium ] Photo by Kon Karampelas on  Unsplash A few days back, BoisLockerRoom memes outraged metro cities of India. BoisLockerRoom was a private Instagram group that comprises young boys from Delhi, the capital city of India. They were found sharing images of teenage girls with harsh and sexual comments. Class 11 and 12 students casually discussed “gang-raping” girls, sexualized, and slut-shamed them in screenshots of chats. Those messages have gone viral on Twitter and other social media forums. As per the latest update, a class 12 student, a group admin of BoisLockerRoom, was arrested from Noida, India. Similar incidents were found in Nepal where young boys had used Reddit thread as their platform. Nepal Police are investigating this case, but no arrest has been reported until today. It is very difficult to track private messages that are being circulated in messages and groups. But there are many other problems in which social n

Dead Roses and Dead Soul

Image
Dead Roses and Dead Soul No one saw his major loss Every morning  walking up to miles he collects roses with the hope he can give them to her one day Every afternoon forgetting disappointments he collects hope with the dream  she will be with him one day Even by the end of the day, those fading roses on his desk and depressed soul within him, both continue to live with a desire of reconciliation someday Times changed but she didn’t. His soul continues to breathe he sprays water to roses hoping neither of them dies hoping they both live for one more day where they can hope for one more. She never came back she decided she won’t. Roses withered and died his soul grieved and died. He buried roses and his soul with no hope of a further journey with no desire for tomorrow. All saw dead roses being sorry for its loss but the dead soul within him no one cared to search and remained invisible forever. Suraj Ghimire  2020 This poem was first posted on
